Family search a u4u sponsor
About this listing
My name is Dmitry and I am 24 years old. My wife Elizaveta is 24, and our son is 5. We are a young family from Odessa, Ukraine, asking for help. We were born and lived all our lives in the city of Berdyansk. Before the war, I served in the military, and my wife worked as a sales manager. Unfortunately, Berdyansk was captured by the Russian invaders. On February 24th I went to fight in Mariupol, and later served in the Zaporozhye. A year later, in May 2023, I moved to Odessa and reunited with my wife and son, thinking it was safe there. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. Because of the constant rocket attacks I’m worried about family safety and mental health. Our child deserves better childhood and I feel responsible for protecting him. Currently we are looking for a sponsor under the U4U program to help us move to the US. I made a research online, compared the cost of living and housing, food and fuel in different cities and have strong feelings about our financial situation. We do not need financial support from anyone and saved enough to settle down in the new place. We don’t want to move to California or New York, it can be too expensive, but we have enough to settle down in any big city with good infrastructure and transportation so we could find a job and assimilate into the local community. Of course, if our sponsors are willing to help us with anything - housing, documentation, advice- we would really appreciate it. I have a diploma in Tourism and Computer Engineering. My wife also has a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality. My practical/work experience: can work as a computer technician, a driver or mechanic in a body shop, detailing. I have excellent recommendations from my clients and colleagues. My wife wants to apply for positions in hospitality industry or restaurants, as she has being working in hospitality for the last few years. And for additional income we consider babysitting, dog walking, helping with a house, garden, garage. We work on our English seriously as we understand the importance of the language. We studied the rules of the U4U program and can promise we won’t be a burden to the sponsors or taxpayers. If you are considering a sponsorship for a Ukrainian family, please choose us. I can provide more details about our family in a private chat.
