A Ukrainian Mother and Daughter Looking for a Host in the UK

My daughter and I are from Ukraine. We had to leave our home in occupied territory because of the war​,​ and we are now hoping to find a kind person or family in the UK who could host us for a few months while we get settled​,​ look for rental accommodation and work​,​ and help my daughter adjust to her new school and surroundings. I studied psychology and law​,​ and I have also studied nursing. I enjoy learning new things and would like to find a job and build a stable life for us in the UK. My daughter and I have been interested in British history and culture since our school days. We have always been curious about British traditions and everyday life​,​ and we would love the chance to experience them for ourselves. My daughter is learning English​,​ and I hope that living in an English-speaking environment will help her improve her language skills​,​ make friends and feel more confident at school. I love cooking​,​ and lately I’ve been enjoying learning to prepare traditional British dishes. I’ve been trying recipes for fish and chips​,​ a full English breakfast with eggs​,​ sausages​,​ bacon​,​ baked beans and hash browns​,​ as well as shepherd’s pie​,​ cottage pie and Yorkshire puddings. I’m still learning​,​ so some dishes turn out better than others! I’d love to learn more recipes and share some Ukrainian dishes with the people who welcome us. I also enjoy gardening. I like growing plants and making a home feel cosy. In my free time​,​ I enjoy cooking​,​ spending time outdoors and having a good conversation over a cup of tea. We understand that welcoming someone into your home is a big decision​,​ and we would be truly grateful for any help. We are tidy​,​ respectful and would always respect your home​,​ privacy and daily routines. We would be happy to have a chat beforehand​,​ get to know each other and discuss what would work best for everyone. We are open to different parts of the UK. Ideally​,​ we are looking for a place to stay for a few months while I look for work and we search for suitable rental accommodation.
