I'm a writer, and have a small writing studio in Prenzlauer Berg, which is empty four days of the week when I stay at my girlfriend's place. The apartment features a large room and a kitchen, plus a small writing room with a single bed. The toilet is outside in the hallway. You can a shower at my neighbour's place. She and her family might even cook you dinner. Not the best solution, but it has worked well for everyone who has stayed here. The house is awesome and smashed-up and filled with artists.
