Hello, I'm Yuliia D.verified

Hello, my name is Yulia. We are a family of three: myself, my husband Mikhail and our teenage daughter Vladyslava (she will be 12 in September). We are from Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, a hotspot since the beginning of the war. And we are fleeing from the war. This is the second migration for us. Before 2014 we lived in Donetsk (occupied territory since 2014). We left there, but it was a little easier then - the main part of Ukraine lived an ordinary life. So we were able to start from 0 again in the peaceful part of the region. It was painful, it was hard, there were problems with our daughter's health, but we got through it. And here we are again...it's much scarier and cynical now, and the worst part is that as of today there is not a one place on the map of Ukraine that is safe. So we decided on such a hard (because it is very afraid to settle down in an unfamiliar country) step - to find a shelter in the UK. I am a marketer by education, although I have been working as a M&E specialist since 2015. My husband is a logistics and procurement manager. We don't plan on doing "humanitarian tourism" and would very much like to be able to find a job at GB. We are an educated, fun, friendly family...probably fun until...February 24. We love socializing, books, walks. It would be nice to meet people for whom we would not be a "burden", but a pleasant companionship or a respectable example of Ukrainians, which you all (as a country) help. We are not asking for extra conditions, but it would be ideal to have a city near us where we could find a job, and not far a school for our daughter ( she is very lost and does not walk herself for long distances). But there are also our family members who are with us, and it becomes a challenge when looking for a place to live. We have three very well-behaved animals with us: a cat, a small dog (Yorkshire terrier) and a hamster. But you just have to love animals :).
