Hello, I'm Anastasiia D.
I am Anastasiia, 32 year old volunteer from Ukraine, helping Ukrainian Refugees in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have 7 year old daughter Nicole. We are glad to meet you! I am fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Swahili languages, and I am very enthusiastic about learning Dutch. From the moment I arrived in the Netherlands, from the very first days of the start of the war, I have been actively involved in volunteer activities: - Volunteered for largest international humanitarian organisations Red Cross in Ukraine and in the Netherlands, and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Moldova; - English/Russian/Ukrainian translator in Gemeente Zwolle for Ukrainians; - Collection and packaging of humanitarian aid. Coordination of volunteer work; - Assistance and Participation in organizing events for Ukrainians, including charitable and sports projects; - Informing Ukrainian refugees about important events and events in Zwolle and beyond, about language classes provided by Dutch volunteers and other social activities; - Helping Ukrainian refugees with finding fit job vacancies in the Netherlands, informing the Ukrainian community about any new openings and opportunities; - By the irony of fate, more than once I was able to help other Ukrainians find accommodation in Zwolle, but now my daughter Nicole and I found ourselves in a situation of looking for accommodation for ourselves; - From March until today, I administer a large Telegram group of assistance for Ukrainian refugees living in Overijssel (more than 700 members), where I provide multi-vector information support to group members; - Helping families from Ukraine to find sports sections and development clubs for their children 🧑🤝🧑, help to arrange veterinarian care for families with pets, and Dutch language classes for adults. After arriving in the Netherlands, I immediately joined the team of Dutch volunteers and provided them with active assistance in helping my fellow Ukrainian refugees. Protection of the environment and animals, sustainable consumption is one of the basic values in my life. I am actively involved in sports: mountaineering, running at different distances (participant in 20th edition of Zwolle half marathon), mountain biking and rock climbing. I am an official member of the MTB club in Zwolle, I participate in rides on different MTB routes along with Dutch club members🚴🏻♀️ , and also I am a member of survival run club in Zwolle. From March 2016 till present, I organize tours to 🏜️ Tanzania 🦁🐘 and Zanzibar remotely 🏖️ and organize safari and Kilimanjaro climbing tours, being a co-founder & director of 🌐Luna's Wild Rides Tour Operator in Tanzania 🗺️ And now I have an official job in the Netherlands 👩💻 in the field of hospitality, where I work no less than 32 hours per week. 🇳🇱💖📚 I deeply love the Netherlands, take steps to learn Dutch language (and willing to practice it more and more with native speakers), and I am in general in love with Dutch culture. I am familiar with the peculiarities of life and rules of life in the Netherlands, I want to learn more about the country and I admire the responsiveness, hospitality and kindness of the Dutch people. For almost four months, I have been helping my fellow Ukrainians to integrate in the Netherlands, introducing them to the peculiarities of life in this country. Not only I create new projects and ideas to help refugees, but I am also open to participation in additional new volunteer projects that are not directly related to helping refugees. 🏃🏻♀️🤸🧗🏻I lead an active lifestyle and I am ready to share with you (or your children) a morning or evening run, a trekking trip, a hike in nature, a joint bike ride. I love to travel and discover new things. I am curious to know more about Dutch cities, local customs, Dutch architecture. My 7 year old daughter Nicole currently studies in the school for kids of Ukrainian refugees, where they are taught Dutch language by Dutch teachers. But more than that, Nicole is now a member of swimming club in Zwolle (she knows how to swim and currently develops her techniques), and a member of sport acrobatic club in Zwolle (having 4.5 hours of acrobatic trainings every week and considering participation in the competitions in future). Nicole is also very skillful in riding her bike, and is used to riding long distances, always following me on her bike. Nicole is active, friendly and sociable girl, connecting to kids and adults in no time. She dreams to start going to Dutch school from September, and to have more friends among Dutch children. Nicole can speak English and makes her first attempts to speak Dutch. She also dreams to do horseback riding (she already has some experience on the horses), she admires that horseback riding is so popular in the Netherlands among kids and adults, and she generally loves all pets and all farm animals with all her heart.
