Hello, I'm Sasha P.

My name is Oleksandra (Sasha). I fled to the Netherlands at the age of 17 by myself. I turned 18 here alone, with no family or friends. My family stayed in Ukraine because they refused to leave home and they keep working there to help me live a "safe" life here. I am currently studying at Creative College in Utrecht. I study dance and this is the only thing keeping me sane right now. The dance community and my classmates are very welcoming and I feel comfortable around them. Since march 2022 I've been living with an American-Italian woman, who helped me a lot during my stay here... She welcomed me and I helped her pay utilities, buy food, clean and watch her cat! But, unfortunately, she wants to move out at the end of January... And I am unable to pay off the rent for this apartment. So I am looking for a new place to stay! It has to be Utrecht or somewhere close by because as a foreign student I don't have a student OV, which means that I can't spend too much money on travel...
