Looking for a safe place to stay in NY for 2-3 months

Hello everyone​,​ My name is Stanislav​,​ I'm from Kyiv and I'm Ukrainian who was affected by the russian invasion. In US I have a friend (we studied together at a university in Ukraine)​,​ he kindly agreed to be my U4u sponsor​,​ I am infinitely grateful to him for this. But the problem is that he does not have the opportunity to provide me with housing because he has already placed his mother and brother with his children. In my country I worked as an IT specialist for Ukrainian government both with a freelance job as an Internet-marketing specialist. I also have some knowledge of stock trading and cryptocurrencies. I have no bad habits. My language is Ukrainian with some basic English​,​ but I'm willing to learn it more (I often had to communicate in English at work in writing​,​ but I have no conversational practice) I have already received a travel authorization and am now preparing for a long-awaited trip to the USA. There I want to get a work permit and find a job. I don't want to overuse your hospitality​,​ but I guess there might be some delay with getting a work permit and finding a job​,​ so I need a safe place to stay up to a few months while I deal with work issues. I don't need a lot of space​,​ just a quiet room with the ability to leave my luggage and work on my laptop​,​ with the ability to satisfy basic household needs.
