About this listing
we, a mother (38 years old) and a daughter (17 years old), from Ukraine, the city of Kharkov, before the start of the war, lived 5 miles from the border with Russia. On the morning of February 24, we woke up because of the bombardment. We managed to leave before the seizure of the territory by Russian troops. After that, we went to live in Lvov, near the Polish border, it was safer there, but the bombs flew even there. We lived like this for 6 months. After that we found the united for ukraine program. We completed all the paperwork and here we are in the USA. Almost 6 months. Now we are in Louisiana and have been living here for almost half a year, but it is hard to find a job here, because not all people in the southern part of the united states understand our accent and the Ukrainian community is very small. My mother is very hardworking, she worked in the police for 20 years in Ukraine. we are looking for help in housing only for the first time, in another state, so that we can get used to it and be independent in the future. Thank you in advance
