Hello to the UK from Ukraine. My name is Larysa (I’m 34 y.o.) and I'd like to tell you the story of my family. I'm a mother of two adorable children. I'm proud to be a mom of a courageous son Vladyslav (14 y.o.) and a lovely daughter Iryna (12 y.o.). They are incredibly brave! Until February 24​,​ 2022​,​ we had a quiet peaceful life​,​ plans​,​ and dreams. I worked very hard and my children were going to school​,​ playing with friends​,​ and enjoying their childhood​,​ but everything has changed since February 24. I live for the sake of my children and always try to give them the best​,​ but not the bomb shelters and fear. After much deliberation​,​ I made the decision to leave our home. This decision wasn’t easy for me. I'm simply afraid for my children's lives​,​ especially now when there is a threat of a nuclear explosion at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. I want to find kind people who would like to become our sponsors and accept us into their family. We don’t really need much​,​ and we'd like to live somewhere not far from the school. My sister lives in Shrewsbury​,​ Shropshire​,​ that's why I'd love to be not far from her if it's possible. I just want to give my children peace.
