We are Roman and Maksym​​,​​ looking for a home in Belgium

We are Roman and Maksym​​,​​ two close friends from Kyiv​​,​​ Ukraine​​,​​ looking for temporary accommodation in Liège starting mid-summer. Leaving Ukraine was not part of our plans. Kyiv is our home. But after winters with power cuts lasting up to 16 hours a day​​,​​ no heating​​,​​ and constant air raid alarms​​,​​ we realised that living in ongoing uncertainty makes it very difficult to build a stable future. We want safety​​,​​ stability​​,​​ and the chance to move forward with our lives. A close friend of ours relocated to Liège at the beginning of winter 2025​​,​​ and we plan to join him there to start a new chapter. Roman is an IT specialist who recently graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and works in his field. For the past two years​​,​​ he has been responsible for the full technical infrastructure of a fitness club network. He is energetic​​,​​ practical​​,​​ and solution-oriented. If something needs fixing or setting up​​,​​ he handles it. He enjoys football​​,​​ cycling​​,​​ board games​​,​​ and has recently taken up fishing. His English level is B2. Maksym has a degree in Cultural Studies (event management). He was actively involved in student leadership at university and also organised volunteer and charity events in Kyiv. He has diverse work experience - from assisting in an MRI laboratory to working as an editor in an international IT company - and currently works in a retro photo lab developing film. He enjoys cooking​​,​​ retro photography​​,​​ beginner DJing​​,​​ clay modeling​​,​​ and creative projects. His English level is B1. We are tidy​​,​​ and used to living independently. We respect personal space and understand that hosting someone is a responsibility and an act of trust. In return​​,​​ we offer reliability​​,​​ help around the house​​,​​ technical support if needed​​,​​ good food​​,​​ and respectful​​,​​ easygoing coexistence. We are not looking for dependency - only for a safe starting point to rebuild our lives​​,​​ work hard​​,​​ integrate​​,​​ and become fully independent as soon as possible.
