Zoya Gubanova - Looking for accommodation ARP program in Car

Hello! My name is Zoya​,​ and I am currently looking for accommodation through the ARP program in Carlow. A little about myself: I’m from Ukraine​,​ from the city of Yuzhny near Odessa. I’m over 65 years old​,​ retired​,​ but I worked my entire life in the field of electrification and power networks. Despite my age​,​ I am still in good health and physically active. I would gladly take on part-time work if possible. I am a friendly​,​ tidy​,​ and cheerful woman without bad habits. I came to Ireland because of the war in Ukraine​,​ and I have been living in Carlow for a little over a year. I was previously staying at Ewing’s Bar & Accommodation​,​ but that shelter was recently closed​,​ leaving me and several other elderly people without a place to stay. My English level is elementary​,​ meaning I can understand spoken English and communicate on everyday topics. I’ve been attending English language courses with KCETB in Carlow for over six months and continuously improving. Why do I need accommodation specifically in Carlow? My son and three grandchildren live here​,​ but their home is too small for me to stay with them. Since my son works​,​ I often help by taking care of my grandchildren​,​ cooking for them​,​ and picking them up from school. That’s why it’s crucial for me to stay nearby. I’m open to any ARP housing options in Carlow. Even if it’s located within a 40-minute walk from the city center​,​ that’s perfectly fine with me as I enjoy walking. I have no special requirements — I just need a roof over my head near my family. Additionally​,​ I have a friend​,​ Leila​,​ who is also over 65 and shared a room with me during our time in the shelter. She is also in need of housing now​,​ and I’d be very happy to continue sharing a room with her if possible.
